Power Supply Design Engineer
Immediate need for Design Engineer with the following experience in:
Power Electronics
- AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC power conversion for 10kw to 200kw using IGBTs
- Experience related to boost converter with PFC (power factor correction)
- Programmable AC power supply (phase, voltage, frequency)
- Modular approach design to get higher power (100KW) by paralleling
- Some familiarity with DSP (digital signal processing) and CPLD devices
- Fault detection and protection (short-circuit, over voltage, over current, crowbar)
Magnetics
-Design of boost power inductor (up to 10 to 200 kw)
-Design of transformer/planar transformer for DC/DC converter (10-200kw)
Education: BSEE, or in a related field of study.
Experience: Seven (7) years in the position above.
