1. Interpret OEM design and test documentation to determine test requirements and strategy.
2. Design hardware interfaces for the testing of electronic components.
3. Write application test programs.
4. Integrate the hardware and software and verify conformance with specifications.
5. Document and support a test system once it is fielded
6. Background in electrical systems
7. Ability to integrate hardware and software into a functional and reliable test system
8. Ability to quickly analyze and troubleshoot complex hardware/software systems
9. Hardware experience should include Data Acquisition Systems design and integration. Familiarity of Drive Systems, AC Motors, DC Motors, PLCs, Servo Controls, and Instrumentation.
10. Familiarity with popular programming languages (Visual Basic, C++, HTBasic, etc.)
11. Must be able to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with other team members, suppliers and customers world-wide.
12. Must be thorough, organized and work well in teams.
13. Knowledge of AutoCAD.
14. Experience in the operation of electrical and electromechanical components.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Electrical System design for testing aerospace / industrial components
2. Support of test systems, including troubleshooting via phone / email.
3. Integration of software, electrical hardware and mechanical interface.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree (BS) in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline.
Create new drawings from customer specification
Create, review and approve engineering documents, drawings, procedures, bill of material and specification.
Familiar with testing and troubleshooting complex electrical and electromechanical components
Able to work with a team of engineers and assemblers in the design, development and assembly of a test stand.
Proficient with MS Office
Education: BSEE, or in a related field of study.
Experience: min. Ten (10) years in the position above.
