Quality Control Technician

  1. Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results
  2. Ensures/Maintains safe and healthy work environment while complying with all environmental and quality rules and procedures (MIOSHA, ISO 9001:2008)
  3. Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
  4. Approves/Monitors work in-process production by confirming customers specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor
  5. Approves/Monitor finished products by confirming to customers and company’s specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work
  6. Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database
  7. Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs
  8. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
  9. Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  10. Perform inspection and analysis to support engineering and manufacturing to improve the quality of the custom equipment
  1. Minimum 2 years of prior experience in a quality technician/inspector role preferred
  2. Quality technician/inspector experience in a custom and/or specialized equipment design and manufacturing environment preferred
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing role
  4. Previous manufacturing electrical/mechanical design/assembly experience preferred
  5. Electrical background preferred
  6. Understand and follow written, verbal, and visual process instructions.
  7. Must have the ability to read and understand electrical wiring schematics
  8. Must have the ability to read and understand mechanical print i.e. pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
  9. Self-Motivated and driven worker
  10. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  11. Must be diligent, thorough, careful, and organized in maintaining the records, quality, and ensuring 100% verification
  12. Must be a team player
  13. Must be flexible and have the ability to work with others
  14. Must have the ability to multi-task in fast pace engineering and manufacturing environment
  15. Experience in promoting and/or developing quality system Process Improvement
